Writer- well the writer Shantanu Munshi has fascinated me
with his way of storytelling. As the story progresses the intricate and
complicated the plot becomes which clearly reflects how well contrived the
story is. Gradually the plot characters and twists seem appropriate and they
converge in the end to solve the big zig-saw puzzle Shantanu weaved for the
readers. The grandeur of story reflects some diligent work and tenacity
Shantanu put in as a writer. The story never let readers get bored as it is
humor dipped to its core. What made me worried was introduction of new
characters very often but writer who happens to be a master storyteller never loose
grip on the characters and none of the characters go hay wire I was agape with
his writing skills and proficiency of language.
Kudos Shantanu keep up the good work looking forward for
you next book.
Story: A story that is quirky and takes you to an
odyssey. The description is realistic and the details describing an incident or
situation reflects some eloquent work. Reading chapters with encounter in
Mumbai local or the one describing famous Mumbai rains or the narration of Gir
forest reserve is an enthralling experience. The story takes us on a road trip
with odd and bizarre fellow passengers. The main characters of the story are
Paul- the writer, Raj- the driver, Ben- the mysterious hitchhiker and Hazare- a
persuasive insane unrealistic and delusional persona. The takes us on a
journey from Mumbai to Gir forest reserve and as the journey progresses the
plot changes and with every new character introduced the story becomes more
intriguing. The road trip is eloquently narrated. The story is so supple and
alluring description of forest reserve hill and safari is beautifully penned
and larger than life character makes it more interesting. This particular story
has all from resurrection to witch hunting to tranquility of forest to a
mysterious philanthropist to gangs. Each and every character penned is
significant and plays their part while making story pragmatic. The story has no
loose ends what so ever and our heroes outwit every dire situation they
encounter.
